HUNUA.
A social was held in the Hunua Hall on Friday last, the 15th, for the purpose of larenelliiig Private D. Trail, who was home on final leave. A very pleasant and enjoyable evening was scent by those who attended. Dancing was the cbiet pastime, Mr W. Hirst acting as M.C., and Mr B. McConnel presiding at tbe piano. During the evening Mr T. J. Lockwood presented Private Trail with a email present from tbe people of Hunua. Private Trail suitably responded. Dancing was carried on until an early huur of the morning.
On Friday next, in the Church, a social is to be held for the purpose of tarewelling Mr and Mrs G. F. Cox. Mr Cox has been for some time Home Missionary in this district and has lately been transferred to Birkenhead. His many friends join in wishing him all succeßs in his new sphere uf labour.
