MANUREWA.
A special meeting of the Manurewa Town Board will be held this—Tuesday—evening to consider the forming and making of new roads throughout the district. Many friend? will be sorry to learn that Mrs Bell, tbe wife nt the acting-clerk to the Town Board, has been seriously indisposed and ia now a patient at the Auckland Hospital. A large number of children with their parents and friends joined happily together on the occasion of the Methodist Sunday School picnic, held on Anniversary Day. The weather was ideal, and in addition to the superintendent, Mr H. V. Burton, and the pastor, the Kev. W. S. Fotter, many friends took advantage of the opportunity of enjoying the delights ot a pleasant afternoon in the paddock of Mr F. E. White, so kindly placed at the disuosal of the school tor the purpose. Games were indulged in and tea kindly served by the teachers and other ladies was thoroughly enjoyed.
