BUCKLAND.
Owing to the large number of children attending the Methodist Sunday School and the need of a vestry, the Trustees of the Church decided some time ago to build an addition to the back of the Church and the timber is now on the ground. A local resident offered a handsome donation towards the cost of erecting an outbuilding for shelter Bhed etc., and that is already almost finished, a working bee having been organised on the two last Saturdays under the guidance of MrF. Souster. The labour of erecting the addition to the Church will all be given free, and as the cost of the material is the only expense the Trustees hope that sufficient contributions will be sent in, so that the new building will be opened free of debt. i At the Farmers' Union meeting advertised for Saturday, February 3rd, a good attendance is desired as there is important business to be brought forward in connection with the Union and the Trading Association.
