PAPAKURA.

Private R. P. Butler, son of Mr J. Butler, of Papakura, previously reported wounded is now reported " missing." By an advt. in our columns the Papakura Town Board announce that the dog tax fee for the year has been fixe'd at 2s 6d for cattle dogs aud fox terriers and 5s for other dogs, and further that all registrations must be effected before February 28th with the Dog Tax Collector, Mr J. Rowe.

A visitor to Papakura, named Mr J. MacKenzie, who had of late been making the township his home, was removed to the Auckland public hospital on Tuesday suffering from the effects of poison. It is stated that during the course of Tuesday morning he swallowed a considerable quantity of lysol.
