A very pretty weeding took place on Wednesday last at St. John's (Anglican) Church, when Miss Ivy Grimmer Kowe, the youngest daughter of Mr U. Kowe, of Tuakau, was united in matrimony to Sergt. Alfred Connolly, ot the New Zealand Headquarters Staff, Featberaton. The bride, who was charmingly attired in embroidered organdie mu?lin robe with court train of muslin lined with shell

pink Bilk, was attended by Miss Bertha Kowe, sister, and Miss Lilly Lapwood as bridesmaids and both wore gold cable bangles, the gift of the bridegreom. Tbe vicar, the Bev. L. Foulkes, performed tha nuptial ceremony, and Miss Mayall, who presided at the organ, played tbe Wedding March. After the ceremony a wsddng breaktaat was held at th 3 Public ball, when abont 60 guests sat down to the

invitation ot the bride's parents. Both the btidi and bridegroom were the recipients of many useful pre-

assemblage of friends met at tbe hall, when the function took the form of a social and dance, in which Miss Mayall played the opening march and waltz with her osual ability. Others who contributed musical items were Miss Hodgson, violin, and Mi*s Geragbtv, piano, all of which were highly appreciated. Messrs Kyder Bros, sang a duet expressively, and responded to an encore. The nappv pair left fjr Rotorua, where the honeymoon is to be spect. A new dwelhnghouse on Dominion road, overlooking tbe township, is being erected for Mr and Mrs G. D. Hunter.
