WAIAU PA
A recent salo of farm property ' has takeu place in Waiau, Mr J. Homy haviug purchased the 150 aero section formerly occupied by the late Mr Bulah. Tho section adjoining that farm Mr Henry has held for 15 years, aud when it is mentioned that it was purchased in its uativo state at 3s per acre and Mr Henry now values it at £2O an acre, it gives some idea of the value aud quality of the land iu tho district. Mr Henry intends to start dairying and milk about 70 cows next season, for which he proposes to instal machines. Mr Henry expresses tho opinion that the Waiau lands are quite equal to tho lands of Patumahoe_ or Pukekohe for grazing and dairying purposes. This is particularly evidenced
this year when thanks to the copious rains the grass around the country is of luxurious growth ; in some cases the clover and grass m quite tfft in height.
