MANUREWA.

A vety pleasant gathering took place in the Manurewa Public Hall on Saturday, December 16th, in the shape of an audition given by Mrs Archdale Taylor's pupils. This was the first occasion on which a function of the kind has been held in Manurewa, and Mrs Taylor must be highly-complimented on the able manner in which the pupils mastered the pieces set for them. Items were also given by Mr T. C. Seaton and Mr A. G. Mabee. A splendid afternoon tea was provided by the students, together with soft-drinks and ices for the children. A collection was taken up for the purpose Of swelling the Belgian Santa Glaus Fund, which benefitted to the extent of £1 10s od. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
