PAPAKURA.
SALE YARDS REMOVAL THE NEW SITE In furtherance of the arrangement come to by Mr R. M. Gillespie (chairman), on behalf of the Papakura Town Board, and the N.Z. Loan and M.A. Company for the use of the present saleyards to be discontinued as soon as possible a letter from the company was read at yesterday's meeting of the Franklin County Council making application for Wellington street, Papakura, to be opened. The Company intimated that they intended as soon as possible to erect cattle saleyards on their property at the lower end of Wellington street but before they could do so it would be necessary for the road to be opened and made suitable fer cattle traffic—The clerk was instructed to reply that the council understood that the Loan & Mercantile Co. had an arrangement with Messrs Willis Bros that they (Messrs Willis Bros) would open the road when sale yards were erected.
