Mr F. Goodman (contractor) waited on the Board and submitted a plan of a proposed ferro concrete bridge to replace Brown's (wooden) bridge in the YVairoa riding. He offered to do the work for £4 25. As the Government had offered a subsidy towards the re-erection of creamery bridge and the work had not been put in hand it was decided to make an effort to have it diverted to Biown's bridge. It was made clear that as the bridge was in the Wairoa Road Board area the Road Board would have t) defray the cost.
On Cr Bell's proposal it was resolved to accept Mr Goodman's offer, isiibject to everything being in order; the Wairoa Road Board to defray the cost and the plaas to be submitted to the Public Works Department for its approval. It was further arranged that Mr Dixon should supervise the work, the Board to remunerate him for so doing.

As no tenders had been received for the spawling at Brookby lie recommended that work at the Council's depot should temporarily cease in order to allow of the workmen to do the spawling.
