GOVERNMENT TOURIST DEPARTMENT.

Facilities for traffic in New Zealand as afforded by the Government Tourist Department are set out in a circular just issued by the Department, as follows :

When you travel on business or pleasure avail yourself of the Government Tourist Department's popular and up-to-date system of booking. Tickets by rail, coach, steamer and motor-car are issued at the cheapest rates to all parts of the Dominion, neatly bound in a small cover, and available for three months.

Railway tourist excursion tickets for North, South and both Islands are issued, also tickets at holiday excursion fares when these fares are in force.

Expert information and advice, cost of tour, accommodation en route, literature, maps, and an itinerary of travel are supplied free of cost. The full value of unused tickets will be refunded, with the exception of the U.S.S. Coy.'s tickets, on which a charge of ten per cent made by the company has to be collected-

The officers of the Department will plan your tour, and advise cheapest and best routes, thus saving money, time and trouble. When about to travel please call, write, or ring up the Government Tourist Bureau, Customs street, Auckland, when your requirements will receive prompt attention. An officer of the Department will call on you if required. Country clients can have fares quoted and tickets forwarded through the postoffice. Remember! New Zealand has many fine health resorts, and is a land of beautiful rivers, lakes, and forests, majestic alpine scenery, matchless glaciers, unsurpassed fiords, and awe-inspiring thermal regions, all of which may be easily and cheaply visited.
