Judging by the promises of donations and assistance given Mrs Mears for her sale of work, to bo hold on the 13 th December, there is every likelihood of the Patriotic League funds being considerably enhanced as a result. On Tuesday last a calf donated to Mrs Mears towards the sale by the Masters Lynch (3) was sold at auction by the N.Z. Loan & M.A. Coy. in their local yards and realised £6 15s.
