DRURY

PATRIOTIC GIFTS.

The Ladies Patriotic Guild forwarded to Auckland for the month of October the undermentioned knitted goods, viz., 35 pairs sox, one Balaclava cap, one cho'era belt, one pair bed sox, one pair hospital stockings, two hospital caps, one pair mittens, and one pair wristlets. The sox were contributed by Mrs Strong 8 pairs, Mesdames McMurtrie and I. Wall 4 pair* each, Misses McPherson and Appleby 3 pairs each, Miss G. Cossey 2 pairs, Mesdames Flanagan, W. Bremner, John Blake, Hewlett, Bregman, Jas. Blake, Fyfe and Misses Barnes, Bernard and Dixon one pair each. Sundries were presented by Mrs J. Dickson, 1 pair hospital stockings, 2 hospital caps; Mrs Hill, 1 pair bed socks, 1 cholera belt; Miss A. Dixon, 1 Balaclava cap; Miss Johnston, 1 pair mittens; Miss R. Hill, 1 pair wristlets. The usual monthly meeting was well attended. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs McMurtrie, and was a very enjoyable item in a very pleasant meeting.
