BUCKLAND.
PATRIOTIC LEAGUE, a The monthly meeting of the Buckland Branch Women's Patric tic League was held in the hall on Thursday Nov. 2nd Mrs Wily prei i led and ten ladies were present. Correspondence was read and dealt vith.
A number of ladies present formed themselves into a committee to work up a social to be held in December in aid of the wool fund. A hearty veto of thanks was proposed and carried to the committee of men which had charge of the social in the hall on November Ist the proceeds of which are to be handed over to the League Funds. The following work was handed in during months of October and up to November :3rd—Socks, Mesdames McKean 11 pairs, McAnally 6i, Driver 10, Jesser 4, Walker 4, Harris 3, J. Barber 2, R. Johnston 2, Murray 1, Miss Driver 4. Mufflers—Mesdames Newton 3, Davy 1. Mittens—Mrs Harris 2 pairs. Mrs A. P. Home 7 child's clothes (donated). Donations up to and including November 2nd, were reported as follows :—Cash for Wool Fund—Mesdames N. Jamieson 9s, King 7s 6d, J, Hamilton 6s 6d, H. Barber 6s, Milroy, J.
