STOCK SALE REPORTS.
The N.Z. Loan and M.A. Coy. report as follows: At the Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday, the Bth inst, beef was yarded in full numbers and mostly excellent quality. Priceß ruled the same as last week. Best oxen sold to £2 10s per lOOlbs; others, £2 6s to £2 9s; cow and heifer beef sold at from £2 2s to £2 8s per 1001b ; steers sold at from £l3 17s 6d to £25 15s, for a bullock sold on acconnt Mr J 0. Foote, Ngatea, and bought by the meat exporters; cows and heifers sold at from £9 to £lB. Some of the averages were: 36 steers from Messrs Friedlander Bros, Surrey Farm, Pokeno, averaged £2l 2s, a record for the number for Westfield ; 8 steers from Mr H. E. R. L Wily, Mauku, £l7 17s; calves yarded in large numbers, showed no improvement on last week's rates. Bunners from £8 5s to £11; heavy suckers, £5 2s 6d to £7 15s; medium suckers, £4 4s to £5 2s 6d; light suckers, £2 2s 6d to £3 7s 6d; small and fresh-dropped, 16s to 38s 6J. Sheep were penned in average numbers, and showed a slight improvement on last week's prices. Best woolly wethers, £2 Is to £2 8s 6d ; others, £1 14s 9d to £2 Os 3d; shorn wethers, £1 7s to £1 14s 6d; best ewes in wool, £1 15s 9d to £1 19s 3d; other*, £1 10s to £1 14s 9d; shorn ewes, £1 5s 9d to £1 12s 6d ; hoggets in wool, £1 13 to £1 17s 3d; shorn, 19s to £1 6s. Spring lambs penned in larger number than usual, were easier in prices. Best, £l 2s 6d to £1 7s 9d; others, 10s 6d to £1 Is 3d. Pigs, in very large numbers, were consequently not bo good as last week. No choppers yarded. Heavy baconers, £4 5s to £5 Is; medium ditto, £3 12s to £4 3s; light ditto, £3 Is to £3 lis; heavy porkers, £2 14s to £3 ss; medium ditto, £2 2s to £2 12s; light ditto, £1 15s to £2 Is; slips, £1 2s to £1 9s; weaners 13s to £1 Is.
Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report : There was again a large yarding of stock at our monthly Waiuku sale, which was held on Saturday, November 4th. As has been the case at all late tales, there was a strond demand for all classes, and very few failed to change owners. Dairy cows and heifers made from £7 to £ls ss, according to quality; empty cows, £7 5s to £9 17s; fat cows and heifers, £9 10s to £l4 15s; (58 beef sold). Yearling to 18-months heifers, £5 5s to £7 ; steers, same age, £6 10s to £8 ; two to three-year-old steers, £9 7b to £ll 17s; this season's calves, £2 12s to £3 5s for best, smaller and younger £1 19s to £2 10s; bulls, £6 6s to £l2 12s; weaner pigs, 16s to £1; slips £1 ss; small porkers, £1 9s to £1 15s; (65 pigs sold). A number of implements and a quantity of sundries were also sold.
