PUKEKOHE BOWLING CLUB
The Pukekohe Bowling Club opened the green for summer play on Saturday, when four rinks were in progress, a very enjoyable afternoon's play being recorded. The Club has spared nothing in making the green as attractive as possible. The pavilion lias been renovated and made up-to-date; shrubs and flowers have been planted, the green having been heavily top-dressed and levelled during the winter. Play on Saturday was very true and fast, and with a large number of new members joining the Club should have a prosperous season.
The following are the results of Saturday's play : - Crum, Morrow, Woollett and Keith, 18, drew with E. Fausett, Dave Roulston, Wilson and Duncan Roulston, 18; W. Adams, Ramsey, W. Baker and Armstrong, 26, beat Tonge, J. Russell, J. Adams and C. Clarke, 20 ; Blackwood, Pulman, Penny and O'Loughlen, 10, lost to J. Blake, Baird, W. Jones and J. Roulston, 28 ; Daysli, W. Blake, Lawrie and Bockett, 25, beat Short, Crawford, Fitness and Wright, 19.
