WAR CASUALTIES.
Gunner Frank Wake Gilroy, of the Field Artillery, who was killed in action on October 7th, was a well-known ex-resident of Pukekohe. He was a carpenter by trade. Riiieman Thirlwall, of the Rifle Brigade, who died of wounds on October 17th, was a resident of Waiuku.
Among those recently " reported wounded" is Fte Geo. Fisher Stephenson, of Rama Rama. Pte Frank Clark, of the Auckland Infantry Battalion, who died of wounds on October 12th, was a brother of Mr A. Clark, a- member of Messrs Cooper and Curd's. staff, Pukekohe. Pte Clark first served at Samoa and left with the 4th Reinforcements, being wounded at Gallipoli and again in France last July. On September 16th he was wounded for the third time and death has now resulted. ,
