DRURY

SHOOTING ON SUNDAYS. A letter from the Drury Presbyirian congregation drew the at tenon of the Auckland Presbytery at s meeting on Monday to the fact lat shooting parties from Auckland ere accustomed to make excursions > Drury on Sunday. VALEDICTORY GATHERING. Last Tuesday night the combined lible Classes of Drury and several riends met in the Drury Public [all, to bid God Speed to one of ae members who is about to go to tie front, viz., Private Ted Wall. !he function was presided over by Ir G. Campbell, of Auckland, and -as of a very enjoyable nature, lames were indulged in by young nd old. Musical items were Bndered by Miss Johnston in the ray of mandolin selections; Mr )ixon on his horn contributed to lie success of the evening; and tiss Dixon at the pianoforte endered yeomau's service. A very leasing interlude was the presentaion of a soldier's companion to the ;uest. This was presented by Mr l. Johnston, the Leader of the (en's Bible Class, on behalf of the ombined Classes. Miss J. Johnton, the Leader of the Women's !!lass, spoke in eulogistic terms of steem of their departing fellow nember. Private Wall suitably o'urned thanks. Speeches were ileo delivered by Rev. Potter, Messrs fielding, W. Bycroft and Fyfe. painty refreshments were then partaken of.
