PUKEKOHE EAST.
LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE
A meeting of the Pukekobe East branch ot the Lady Liverpool League was held at the residsnce of Mrs Holmes on September 21st, a good number of members being present. A letter was read from the Consul for Belgium asking the League's assistarce towards the Belgian Egg Fund. — It was decided to see what eggs could be collided and anyone who wishes to contribute, no matter how small a quantity, may send eggs to the school or to Mrs Holmes or Mrs Robinson. 'lhe sum ot £l, which was collectrri in the district, was sent to ths main centre towards tbe Child* ren's Memorial Hospital Fund; a further sum of £4 5s was also sent to Auckland towards the Christmas Uitt Scheme.
The League will be glad ot any donations whatever towards their funds. Some who are not able to go to the front theme Ives perhaps will help a little by sending along a small subscription occasionally either to Mrs Rooinson or Mrs Holmes. Afternoon tea waß served by Mrs Holmes, and the meeting dispersed after arranging to hold tbe next gathering at Mis Sager's on October 10th.
