BUCKLAND.
The usual fortnightly sesiion ot the loctl Parliamentary Union was held on Monday night, a large attendance of members and friend? teiog preseit. After a numter of questions had been asked and various points ot order had been referred to the Speaker fur decision, the Minister tor KaiUays "(he Hon." J. K. Hamilton, introduced bis KaiUay Hill aod it passed.the first reading. The Minister for Defenc, "the Hor." S. Harper, then brought duwn a Munitions Bill, which was favourably received and passed the firs: reading. In stite of the rough weather experienced lately the supply of milk and cream is above the average for this time of the year. Close un 105 galbns of crtam per day arc being s.m t to the l'ukekohe factory. What might have been a serious accident but fortunately only rear Ited in a few bruises, happened to a well known farmer, Mr F. McKcan a few days ago. Mr McKean went into a ppddock to help a neighbour with a sick cow. The animal sjddenly rushej at bim, but he managed to roll under a barb-wire tence. The cow, however, broke through the fenca and trampled on him, and tried t-j gote him with her horn 7. The owner succeeded in attracting the cow's attention and Mr McKean eucc.cdid in getting away. The cow was subsequenty Bbot.
