At a largely sttendtd and repr - sentative meeting ot Puni resident", held in the school last Monday evening, it was unanimously decided that a long-felt want in the district should be made good, a committee being elected to further the project of a public hall being built. The meeting also, called attention to the disgraceful condition of some portions of the roads, and as a result a permanent committee is cow in being whose duty it is to apply for fair and equitable treatment from the bodies governing these thoroughtares which are called by a misnomer when the name "road" is given to tbem.
