THE Pukekohe and Waiuku Times PUBLISHED ON TUESDAY AND FRIDAY AFTERNOONS.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 25. 1916 DAIRY ASSOCIATION DIRECTORATE.
"We not fling extenuate, nor tet down auaht in malice."
The contest for a seat on the Board of the New Zealand Dairy Association . between Mr J. Henry, of Patumahoe, and Mr A. M. Karriball, of Waiuku, the latter being the retiring Director and offering nimsilf for re-election, is creating a good deal of interest among the shareholders. Mr Harriball can point to a good record in the past in doing his best to further the Association's interests, but there are not a few who incline to the opinion that the inclusion of a little new blood on the Directorate would be advantageousin in more way* than on*. Mr Henry is a supplier in a very large way, and as a successful trader, with a knowledge and experience of the work of local bodies, he possesses qualifications that could be utilised to advantage in the control ol the affairs of the Association. Another strong point in Mr Henry's favour is that his election would afford better distributed representation on the Board than now exists. Surely with Pukekohe as a very important centre of the Association's trading, and with the main outter factory in its midst, the district is entitled to at least one Director. As it is, however, the three seats allotted on the Board to the Lower Waikato are filled by two representatives of Waiuku (Messrs A. M. Harriball and W. C. Motion) and by Mr I{. H. McKenzie, of Pokeno.
