BUCKLAND.
L.U)Y LIVERPOOL LEAGUE. . The Buckland branch of the Lady Liverpool League held its annual meeting on Thursday, July 13th. Fourteen ladies were present, and in the unavoidable absence of Mrs Wily, Miss Johnston presided. Officers for the past year were reappointed, viz Mrs Wily (president). Miss Neal (secretary) and Miss Johnston (treasurer).
The treasurer read out the balance sheet, which showed a total income of £B4 17s and expenditure £B2 8s 6d. The Pukekohe Pierrots gave an en'tertainment during the month of June, proceeds of which benefitted the wool fund to the amount of £o clear.
The following work was handed in:—Socks: Mrs McAnnally, 16 pairs, Mrs McKean, 10 pairs ; Mies Driver, 0 pairs; Mrs Driver, o pairs; Mrs Harris, 4 pairs; Mesdames Jesser, Walker, Hamilton and Attenborrow, 2 pairs each; Mrs Hartland, 2 pairs; Mesdames Jas. Barber and Murray and Miss Johnston, 1 each. Miss J. McKean, 1 pair mittens. Mrs Driver, 12 hospital pillows Mrs Home, 3 babies' garments (donated). The following donations have been received up to July 18th, 1916 :
