BUCKLAND.
A meeting of (be Parliamentary Union was held in the Hall on Monday evening, when considering the net night there was a fair attendance of members. A lively discussion first took place on questions of correct procedure and en points of older. Sutstqutntl; the Premier (Mr E. Allan) introduced hia Land Bill, which wi'l be further diifcussad next meeting. The Minister for Finance (Mr A. J. Melville) also brought down a short Finance Bill, which was passed through all its stages. In compliance with a request made to the Council the County Engineer has had a lying-up rail erected opposite the Buckland store, which will be a great convenience, and it is hoped that the same will do away with the practice of tying hoises to the Methodist Church fence allowing them to remain on the foothpatb, which has not only resulted in breaking the pickets off the fence, Jbut is a source of danger to pedestrians especially at night time.
