WAERENGA.
PATRIOTIC LEAGUE MEETING. The Waerenga Branch of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic League held a meeting on Monday of last week and the usual business was transacted. The balance of the proceeds of the recent banquet, £6 os, has been forwarded to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund and the sum of £lO collected for the immediate use of soldiers in hospital in Egypt has been duly forwarded. The following donations were reported, viz. : J. W. Keith, £1 10s ; J. W. Taylor, S. A. Waite, £1 each; A. Freegard, C. Carter, Lewis Eyre, 10s each; J. Sampson, Ihos. Freegard, 7s 6d each; F. Begbie, os 6d ; W. B. Carter, W. Keith, F. Beacock, C. Sampson, J. Bell, S. Morrison, F. Freegard, Jack Muir, James Foote, W. J. Jefferis, W. A. Grant, L. Horrocks, A. B. Anderson, Joe Keith, 5s each ; T. Dimmock, J. Freegard, H. Dimmock, 2s 6d each ; J. Balle, 2s.
