PAPAKURA.
PAFAKUHA PAtKIOTIC LEAGUE. The usual monthly committee meeting was held in the Parish Hall on the 6th intt, Mr Alfred Willis presiding. Correspondence was read from the Organising Secretary of the Russian Prisoners' Aid Fund acknowledging the receipt ut £26 6s JOd for that Fund. Mr Alex. Ferguson, Consul for Belgium, wrote thanking the League for ite continued support ol the Belgian Fund, £9 being forwarded tor that purpose each month. The Mayor of Auckland's Servian Keliet Fund Committee acknowledged the receipt of £lO irom the League. A letter was received from the secretary of the Auckland Women's Patriotic League thanking the Papakura League for its efforts in providing twenty - five hussits monthly for the past five months and asked if the League was prepared to continue doing so for a further period ot six months.—The committee decided to comply with the request. The treasuier reported that the usual monthly contribution of £9 had been forwarded to the Belgian Fund.
As there has been a steady drain on the resources of the League the question of supplementing the Funds by means of a concert was discussed at length. Eventually it was decided to invite a neighbouring musical Society to give a concert in Papakura in aid of the League's Funds.
