OPAHEKE ROAD DISTRICT MERGES.

A petition signed by G5 ratspayers of the Opaheke Road Dia- t trict was presented to the franklin County Council yesterday apply - imr for such Road District to be abolished and nursed m Franklin County.

The County Clerk reported that the petition complied with the law as the signatories represented more than half of the ratepayers on the roll, and more than half nf the capital value.

On the motion of the ActingChairman, Cr l.ockwood, seconded by Cr Lvods, a resolution wis passed in compliance with the terms of the petition. £
