LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.

Pukekohe Branch. At a special meeting of the Pukekohe Committee of the Lady Liverpool League, held on April 4th, there were present:—Mesdames Motion, Webb, Hogan, Baxter, Mcßae, Misses Graham and Webster. It was decided to apply to the Auckland Womens' Patriotic League to be affiliated with that body, and to be known in future as the Pukekohe branch of the Auckland Provincial Womens' Patriotic League. The following ladies were elected members of the local branch :—Mesdames Zinzan, Ashford, Mee, McArthur, J. J Hart, H. Stuart, E Crum, A Grigor, Jas. Taylor, J. Hooey, W. T. Jones, Misses Fausett, I. Brown, F. Roose, and Shipherd. A strong canvassing committee was formed of the following ladies :—Mesdames Zinzan, Hart, Taylor, Ashford, Stuait, Hooey, O'Connor, McKao, Baxter, Hogan, Webb, Motion, Misses Shipherd, Brown, Roose, Graham, Usher and Town son.

The monthly meeting of the committee was held on April 12th. There were present: Mesdanies Wobb, Motion, Ilogan, McKae, Baxter, Misses Usher, Townson, Webster and o'Conner (secretary). Mrs L. Bayly and Miss G. Bilkey were elected members of the League. Letters were read from the Auckland League acknowledging parcel of comforts and donation to Sock Fund and Hussif Account. Accounts amounting to £3 13s lid were passed for payment and a further supply of wool at a cost of £5 lis 2d was authorised. During the afternoon the ladies tilled the monthly batch of hussifs and the members of the canvassing committee handed in the donations collected for the Dominion Gift Schemo. As a result of the canvass cash for 343 parcels and 3 parcels made up by private individuals according to printed circular were forwarded to Auckland : DONATIONS.

Balaclavas—Mrs Crum, 7 ; Mrs Jas. Taylor, 4; Mrs Maxwell, 3 ; Miss M. Tozer, Mrs Hutchings, Mrs Hooey, Miss I. Brown, Miss Osher, Mrs K. Brownlee, Mrs Kimber, Mrs Lindsay, Mrs J. J. McKinney, 2 each; Mrs W. Blake, Mrs Webb, Mrs Papesch, Marion Berridge, Mrs H. Keith, 1 each. Wristlets—Mrs Cowperthwaite, 7 pairs; Mrs Barter, 2 pairs; Mrs Graham, Mrs Boulcott, Mrs Baxter, 1 pair each. * Sox—Mrs Baxter, 2 pairs; Mrs W. Dickson, Mrs O'BrieD, Mrs Webster, Miss Honeyford, Miss Galloway, Vera Wright, Mrs I. Honeyford, 1 pair each.
