ARARIMU.
Mr l'aeey, manager of the New Zealand Dairy Association, paid his annual visit to this district on Thursday last, and addressed a fair numb?r of suppliers in the Valley Schrol. He reported a most sueces ful year for the Company and alsj a very substantial increase in the amount of butter-fit supplied to the local creamery. On the question of "home separation v. creamery," the meeting was almost unanimous in deciding for the continuance of the creamery, which will therefore be opened next season as usual
Road contracts in progress in the district, both lor the County Council and Road Board, are being pushed along vigorously—no doubt wilh a view towards their completion before the weather breaks
Only three nominations were received by the returning officer for the five vacant seats ou the Opabeke Koad Board. Confluent lv two vacancies still remain. As the district haß practically decided to merge into the Franklin Count? Council, less than usual interest was taken in the election this year
