For the five seats on the Karaka Road Hoard, Messrs ,1 Batty and J P Kidd have been re-elected without opposition for No. 2 Ward, and Mr .John Schlaepfer, re-elected, has a college in Mr 1) -lamieson, in place of Mr Sutton, for No. 3 Ward. No nominations were received for No. 1 Ward, of which Mr Macpherjon wa.< the retiring member, and another election is therefore necessary, nominations tor which are fixed for the 20th and polling, if any, for the 27th inst.
