TUAKAU.
The preliminary stages of Burvey ing the site for the proposed butter factory to be erected at Tuakau for the Waikato Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., is proceeding, Mr Chambers, surveyor, of Auckland, being engaged on the work. As the Company is anxi .us that no delay should arise id the erection of the building the procedure of conveying the property is being pushed ahead with all possible baste.
Two "early birds" from Tuakau who journeyed to Lake Whangaye by vehicle, were well rewarded in their efforts to Becure "game." The party, consisting of Messrs F Woulley, and 3 Walters, secured 32 ducks and 2 swans
Messrs J. T. Stembridge and Co. report as follows : On Saturday last we held our first sale at Tuakau, in Mr Woolley's Carriage room. A large number o? entries came forward. Fruit ai;d vegetables fetched prices at about the tame as at our Pukekoho sale the M'pv.'-nis day. Pigs fstuL.,-1 !-•- to 1 N <;•!. Poultry hens Is -3d each. A large quantity of fancy goods was sold satisfactory prices. The - • sales wiiJ be held every Saturday, commencing at 1) p.m.
