MAUKU.

The annual meeting of Householders was held in the school-room on Tuesday evening, of last week. Mr A. Franklin was voted to the chair and in the course of his remarks deplored the lack of interest which the majority of householders displayed in school matters. The financial statement showed the receipts to be £ I<3 -is (id and the expenditure £O'J 4s lid leaving a credit balance ot £o l'Js 7d. The following were elected as committee for the ensuing year: Messrs A. Franklin (chairman), M. Crispe, A. Cuttield, J. Gillon and A. Bell (secretary). On Thursday before the School broke up for the Easter holidays Mr A. M. Climie gave an interesting address on Anzac Day which was well received by the scholars.
