DRURY

MARRIAGE BELLS. HINGLEY—HAMILTOM. Recently in the Anglican, Drury, Mr Herbert Rae Hingley and Miss Lizzie Hamilton, the fourth daughter of Mr Wm. Hamilton, Drury, wore united in the holy bonds of wedlock. The ceremony was porfarmed by the Rev. W. C. Wood and the bride was given away by her father. Miss Minnie Hamilton was bridesmaid and Mr H. Hamilton was best man. The bride wore a dress of white crepe de chine with the customary wreath and veil. The wedding breakfast was partaken of at the residence of tho bride's parents, after which tho happy couple left by motor for Auckland, amidst showers of rice and good luck tokens. The church was tastefully decorated for tho occasion by the girl friends of tho bride, and Miss G. Cussey officiated at the organ.

The Ladies Patriotic Guild have just forwarded to tho Auckland secretary the undermentioned goods, 18 pairs of sox worked by Mrs and Misses Hamilton 11 pairs, Mrs McAdains 7 paira, Mrs Strong 4 pairs, Mrs Barclay, Mrs Sutherland, Mrs McMurtrie, Mrs Glasson, Mrs Dickson, Mrs Fyfe, Miss Girdwood 'J pairs each, Mesdames Burns, Hill, Hewlett, John Blake, Lodge, Bremner, Wall, Misses Hill, Smalltield, McPherson, Appleby, Barnes 1 pair each. Two cholera belts ; Misses Bernard and Blake one each. Nine face cloths : Mrs McNaughton 6, Miss Glasson o. Donation : Mrs Hill, 1 pair surgical sox. At the last monthly gathering of Ladies League the afternoon tea was provided by Mrs James Wall. On the same day a farmers meeting re the rabbit pest was held in the hall the ladies provided the farmers with afternoon tea and brought their Red Cross box into prominence with the result that 21s (id was added to the wool fund.
