At yesterday's meeting of the Franklin County Council a letter was received from Mr J. G. Rutherford, the district representative ou the Auckland Harbour Board, stating that the Board had displaced the horse-drawn ambulances fur motor ambulances and on his suggestion the Board was prepared to hand aver to the County one of the horse ambulances, it agreeable to the Council. Cr Motion moved that the Couucil should accept the ambulance. Cr Lyous seconded and the motion was carried. Ou Cr Henry's suggestion it was further decided to thank Mr Rutherford for his action in the matter.
