Mr A. Climie has been appointed to succeed Mr F. Bailey as the Presbyterian Home Missionary for the Mauku district ana his duties commence on Sunday next. The Rev. G Frost will conduct his final service, prior to leaving for Asliburtou, in the Pukekoht Methodist Church on Sunday evening, the subject of his disouise will bo: " The Minister's Permanent Interest in His People." In advices received ia Pukekoho this week from London the English wholesale houses say they are unable to despatch ceitaiu lines of leather goods as the Government demands are still coining forward for equipments and all workshops are engaged in meeting those requirements.

Cunningham with a wristlet watch each. The men are on their final leave and appeared in uniform At the Mayor's request tho presentations were made by Chaplain Captain Macdonald, who stated that it was an honour that he had not expected and he tojk more pleasure in it than in any other part of the evening's programme. " Ihe boys," he said, were making a groat sacrifice as he could bear testimony to, having feen the happenings of the war. It was to their credit that with dogged determined British pluck thoy wore about to proceed to the front and he wished them a safe return. Tho peoplo of Pukekohe, he said, should feel proud that they were sending forward such stalwart and bravo " boys " as those before him.

Hamilton (Pukekohe), G. E. Le Petit (Manurewa), J. L. McKinstry (Papakura), L. G. J. McDonald Pokeuo), an 1 C. 11. Rickett, (Clevedon). Mounted Rifles : T. H. Flavell (Waiuku). A. E. B. Richardson (Bombay) also proceeds to cxrnp next week, having been selected as a non-commissioned otlicer for the 17th Reinforcements.
