Jf tiijs bo "Failure," nobly doth it dwell Where many a little eross, without a name. Adds wordless .stanzas to the Ode of I' - ;] me Sung by our soul? for braves who grandly fell. The gods of old who haunt th' Aegean swell Dared not the lulls of myriad-stab-bing flame — Knew not the hosror.s faced by men who came To storm the height-—aye. storm our hearts as well! "Failure" like this could never be in vain, For. in an hour, it more than justiA thousand a ears of Britain's loftiness ; And this we know—when end the days of pain. '•'Failure" shall trace, with proud far-seeing eyes. A noble likeness in his son. Success! —TREVOR, in the "London Daily Chronicle."
