The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report as follows : At Weitlield fat stock market on Wednesday beef was penned in average numbers. Prices were tinner than tho previous week. Best oxen sold to £2 3s per 1001b, others £1 17s Od to £2 2s; heifers and cows, from £1 13s (id to £2 ; steers sold at from £0 IDs to £l7 2s Gd ; eow.<, £5 10s to £l2 Isi. Sheep were penned in full numbers and sold under steady competition at improved rates. Best wethers sold to £1 Ms Od, others £1 3s Gd to £1 8s ; inferior fatted and small sold at from 17s to £1 2s Od ; ewes sold for iirst quality from £[ -Is to £1 12s for a small pen of two-tooth owes fattened by Mr N. Kerr, Opaheke ; hoggets sold at from 10s lid to £1 2s ; lambs, penned in less numbers than usual, sold at from 15s to 10s Od. Calves were penned in small numbers and sold at last week's prices. Runners, £.3 to JJ7 os; heavy suckers £3 8s to £1 lis, medium £2 lis to £3 G?, light £ I Is to £2 08; small and freshdroppod, 3s to el 3s. Pigs were penned in largo numbers and sold at last week's high prices. Heavv baconcrs, £3 17s to £4 Bs, medium £3 10s to £3 IGs, light £2 18s to £3 8s; heavy porkers £2 los to £3 7s, medium £2 os to £2 lis, light £1 17s to £2 in; weaners lis to IGs; slips, £1 toll Bs.
