The hue weather has greatly assisted threshing and chaff cutting operations. Some very tine grain crops have been secured in the district One oat crop particularly worthy of mention, was a crop of Ruakura rust proof oats, grown by Mr Preston. When threshed it yielded 65 bushels to the acre.
