Phillips—Lupton.

An exceedingly pretty wedding was celebrated at Sat Luke's Church, Manurewa, on Wednesday, February 9th, when Mr Walter Phillip?, sixth ron of the late Mr William Phillips and cf Mrs Phillip?, of Baringhup, Victoria (Australia), and Miss Alice Emmeline Lupton, third daughter of Mr and Mrs C H Lupton, of Takanini, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. The Kev 0 R Hewlett performed the ceremony The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frrck of frosted silk crepelene, finished with a square train and trimmed with lace and French knots, with wasit-band of satin ribbon with sash ends caught together at the side with a buckle. She alsj wore the customary veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of white Japanese iillies and asparagus fern The bridesmaids, the Misses Janie and Lulu Lupton, were dressed in white voile, trimnud with frillings of organdie muslin and satin waistbands, and they wore white hats trimmed with satin ribbon and pink rose-buds, their bouquets being of pink Japanese lillies and asparagus fern. The bridegroom's presents U the bridesmaids were gold brooches Mr W Phillips fulfilled the duties of best mar, and Mr Fred Lupton acted as groomsman The church had been tastefully deocrated for the occasion by friends of the bn'c. Mr B Harvey, of Auckland, presided at the organ and played the accimpaniments to the hymn "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden" and also the Wedding March

The bridal party proceeded from (he church to tbe bouse of the bride's parents, where the wedding breakl'at was partaken of, numerous toasts bung honoured, and the bride and bridegroom left later in the day for Rotorua. The presents were many and valuable, including siveral cheques
