POTATOES AT DRURY.
[By our Travelling Representative] I have heard Beveral ci the Pukckohe potato growers lamenting that thev were not able to get a supply of poUsh for potato growing, or that th 3 price had become prohibitive. According to Mr C Clark, of Drury, there is no need to worry on that score, and my observation of his crop that was being dug on the occasion of my visit to Drury certainly justifies his contention that a first rate crop can be obtained without potaeh. Mr Clark's manurisl formula is not at present made known to the public, but 1 would advise potato growers to have a chat with him. The crop wbich I saw was grown alongside the Great South road in a choice plot of land with a manure mixture of only ten hundredweight per acre, and the yield was over ten tons of marketable potatoes per acre. Quite an ordinary sample which I selected can be seen at the "Times" office. They ate certainly an ideal showing of Gam:keeper?, and are quits free from blight. A sample lot of "Maori Chief" also gave a phenomenal result grown under similiar conditions to the Gamekeeper, tor from 11 lbs of seed 3301 b3 of potatoes were dug
