EASILY EXPLAINED.
Mr. Pierpont Morgan, the millionaire, who seems to have quite recovered from the effects of the recent dastardly attack made upon him by a German, tells a good story about the late Mr. Pierpont Morgan, the founder of the family's gigantic fortune. Tiie late financier was one day showing a friend li s magnificent dog-ken-nels, when suddenly the visitor stopped to admire a particularly fine pointer. "That's a beautiful dog!" lie excla med. "What do you call him?" "Lord Rothschild," answered Mr. Morgan. "Whv on earth do you call him that?" asked his friend, in surprise. "That's easily explained," replied the millionaire. "It's because he never loses a (s)ecnt!"
