ottering at the school was utterly inadequate. Further, it was claimed (hat in th» opinion of many the time had arrived when the erection ot a large central schuol to serve the districts ot Vvbatigarata, Uanisville and Tuakaj should be procudad with.
The motion, oi being put to the meeting, was nevertheless carried, and Messrs Lang and Lapwoo i were deputed to receive donations, and as a substantial amount was raised in the room there should be no difficulty in securing the desired amount.
The annual inspection of steam and oil launches took place at the Waikato Heads on Thursday the 3rd inst. Mr J. Kydd, Government Inspector of Machinery, came down from Hamilton and made a thorough inspection of the hulls and machinery of them all. The boats were all passed as being in good order and the necessary permits granted for another year's licence.
