A party of excursionists who ventured out on Sunday laat were rewardel with nothing less than a perfect day. One ot the AllBritish Trading Co.'s best launches was chartered for the occasion and left Waerenga wharf at 11 a.m. After lunching on the pretty banks of the Waikato the party proceeded up the river to Hangirin ar.d returned home at 10 p.m. Disaster wrs narrowly averted on tie return trip in the darkness, when the launch collided with another boat on the Whanganiarino, but m barm was done, the excitement only adding to the pleasure of the enthusiastic excursionists.
