RAILWAY EMPLOYEE INJURED.

| Through his foot slipping while boarding the ballast train used on ! the Main Easeuieut Grade Works at Ivaraka ganger E. McNally yesterday morning sustained two compound fractures of his left log. The engine was proceeding to the tip head at the Karaka Bank when ganger McNally attempted to board it but with his foot slipping he grasped with his hand the side rail attached to the engine and his leg dragging ou the ballast which had been placed alongside the rails the liuib was injured as already stated, lie was brought on to Pukekqho where ho was attended to in the railway waiting room by Dr Broute and later was taken by the 4*5 p.m. from Pukekohe for his home at Ruckland.
