PAPAKURA.
The annual picnic in connection with tbe Papakura Methodist Church waa held at Kirk's Buah on Wednesday. About . one hundred children took part in the games. Luring the afternoon presentations were made to Mr acd Mrs Bycroft, who have worked bu bard tor the church dunng many years, to Mr L W Phillip, organist, who has recently had to resign, and to Miss ' Bycroft, who was organist and teacher in the Methodist Sunday School. Tbe picnic committee were especially indebted to Mr and Mrs Morgan for the we of their residence Tha Methodist Church Trustees have accepted tenders for the erection of a Sunday School Ball oo a site adjoining the Church. The building will be ot wood with brick foundations, and will consist of four claEs rooms and a kitchen. Messrs Hirst and Son>, of Auckland, were the successful tenderers. A meeing of tbe "Send-off" Committee was held on Monday evening, and it was decided to tendsr a farewell dinner to Mr "Bob' Dunn, who will shortly be leaving for Trentham. Mr Dunn has been many years in fapakura, and is much respected, so the function will be decidedly popular Mr McCurdy's farm.of 108 acres, situated at Hunua, has been disposed of by Mr R M Gillepeie to Mr A Mickle, of flawke'B Bay. This is the third farm in the district to change hands within a fortnight. The Papakura branch of the National Reserve resumed training last evening. The muster was mt large, but there are a few men who are as enthusiastic as ever - '
