Ihe New Zealand Loan and Mir- j cantile Agency Company report as follows: At Pukekohe on Tuesday we bad a lull yarding and a most success- ' t'ul sale, almost everything clung- ! icg hands. Dairy cowb and heifers, I best, £7 159 to £ll 15s; others, £5 5s to £7; bull?, in large supply, £5 10s to £11; 3 to 3£ year old steers, £'J 17s 6d to £l2 18s; 2 to 2J year steers, £6 17s to £8 lis, VCaslirg to 18 months steers, £4 4s to £5 l Js; calves, best, £2 4s to £2 14s; others, £1 5s to £1 18s; yearling to 18 months heifers, £2 5s to £4 15?, according to quality; empty cows, £5 10s to £7 K's 6d; beef at fully Westlield prices. At Westficld fat stock market on Wedtesday beef was penned in more than average numbers and mostly of excellent quality. Competition for oxen was keen, up to last we:k's prices. Cows in some cases inclined to be a little easier. Uxen eold to £2 4s per l'JOlb; cows and heifers, £1 15s to £2 2s; steers eold at from £l2 10s to £l9 2a 6d; cows, £5 10s to £l3 12s 6d. Some of the averages were: H Clarke, Kwaka, 20 steers, £l7 10 s each; W Henry, 16 steers. £l6 133 6d. Calves were penned in Urge numbers and sold at higher rates. Runners, £6 to £8 10s; heavy suckers, £3 10s to £4 15a; medium suckers, £2 15s to £3 Vs; light suckers, £1 3s to £2 9s; small fresh dropped, os to 18s. Sheep were penned ia full numbers and sold at late rates. Best wethers sold at from £1 5s 3d to £1 10s; othe.s, £1 2s to £1 4s 6c!; ewes, 19s 6d to £1 6s 3d; hoggets, 16s 6d to £l 2a; lamb?, in average supply, sold it from 17s 6d to £1 4$ for beßt; others, 12s 9J to 16s 9d. I'iga were penne.l in large numbers and sold at last week's high rates; choppers, very lew yarded and are wanted, sold up to £5 7s 6d; heavy £4 Is to £4 16s meaium baconers, £3 12s to £4; light baconers, £3 5s to £3 10s; heavy porkers, £2 16s to £3 4s; medium porkers, £2 lis to £2 15s; light do, £2 Is to £2 9s; Blips, £1 4s to 31s; weaners, 14s to 19s 6d. Mc.srs Alfred Auckland and Sous report:— We held our monthly sale in the Waiuku yards on Saturday last, and had a large entry of stock. There was an extra large attendance, and practically the whole yarding changed owners. A strong demand existed for all (lasses. Dairy cows, of which there were few offered, made from £9 to £ll 15s, fat cows and heifers £6 15s to £lO 15s, empty cows and heifers £5 5s to £7 10s, well-bred nice-conditioned two aud a half year eld steers £3 18s, 18 months to two year steers £5 5s to £7 Bs, yearling to 18 months heifers £3 10s to £4 15s, good calves £2 5s to £3 os, smaller £1 10s to £2 2s, weedy 15s to £1 ss, bulls £7 to £ll 12s 6d, small pigs 8s to 15s, flips 18s to £1 4s, small porkers £1 14s. The stallion Royal Marcellara realised 51 guineas.
