No. 5 Proposal—Roads Loan THE LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT 1913. The Pukekohe Borough Council hereby gives public notice of its intention to laise a loan pursuant to the above-mentioned Act and its amendments. (1) The loan is required for the purpose of grading, forming, metalling and paviog roads and streets, together with clerical, advertising, engineering and other expenses incidental thereto as follows : Main Roads, including £ West, Puni, Tuakau, Manukau, Seddon, Queen, East and Harris Streets .. 13,246 Secondary Koads, including Hickey's, Beatty's, Faerata, Helvetia. Victoria, Cape Hill, Barter's Hill extension and Potter's Roads 3,3*60 Unformed Roads, including Dynes', Beresford, Nelsen, Morrow's, McKinney's, Hill Top, Quarry, McNally's, McGuire's, Kaye's, Helvetia to Beptty'e, Boose-Reynolds', Railway Station to Borough Boundary, Lovett's, Fraser's to Beresford Street, Cemetery to Rowe's, Moses Routley to Wilkinson's .. 12,180 Residential Sheets, including Tobin, Albert, Edinburgh St. North and South, Hall, Harrington Avenue, Franklin Road, Roulston's Avenue, Prospect Teriace, Nursing Home Road .. .. 5,022 Footpaths Tarring and sanding .. 470 KingStkeet .. 2.500 Contingencies .. 3,220 £40,000 (2) The sum proposed to be borrowed is £40,000. (3) The proposed security for the loan is a special rate of 2d in the Pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Pukekohe and being an annual recurring rate for a period of ten years or until such time as the loan shall be repaid. The whole loan is to be repayable within a period of 10 years from the raising of

Pursuant to section 10 of The Local Bodies Loans Act 1913 I give public notice that separate poll* of ratepayers upon each of the above proposals to raise loans will be taken at the Borough Council Office, Edinburgh Street, Pukekohe, on Thursday 13th January, 1916, between the hours' of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. H. The Borough Council undertakes to enter into a binding agreement with the Franklin County Council not to collect any rates in respect of the above Loans from the portion of the Borough whicn will shortly be included in the County.
