THE RAMA RAMA TRAGEDY.
Mrs Perry Acquitted. At the Auckland Supreme Court on Monday the trial commenced, before Mr Justice Singer, of Amelia Perry, aged 29 years, on a charge of having wilfully murdered her husband, a farmer, of Rama Kama, in the early hours of September 25th last.' * The evidence of the various witnesses continued throughout Monday and tbe greater part ot yesterday. The Judge, in Euxing up, yesterday afternoon pointed out to the jury that the evidence against the accused was purely of a ci'cumBtantial nature, and he advised them that uolesa they were absolutely convinced that she had fired tbe short they could not reasonably convict her.
Tiic jury brought in a verdict of Not Guilty, ard the accused was nischarged, Hn Honour expressing his acqui sccrcc with the jury's finding.
