While working at the bench at Mr C. Pinny's coachbuilding factory on Monday morning last, one of the employees, named Frank Duncan, took suddenly ill. He was attended to by Dr C. H. Wake, who found by examination that he was suffering from appendicitis. He was removed to the Auckland Public Hospital, where he was operated on a tew hours later. Advice received this morning indicates that he is progressing satisfactorily.
