POTATO CONSIGNMENTS.
Railway's New Regulations. For the purpose of facilitating the despatch ot [otatoes from Pukekohe, Bucklanj anl Tuakau stations new regulations came into force as from November Ist, whereby apecifkd days hav« been fixed for oDtignnieDts to tarioua centres. Toe new arrangements are so far working well. The ci cular issaed by the Railway Department is as follows: — On and after Monday, Ist Ncvemb.r, 1915, consignments of new potatoes will b3 accepted at Pukekohe, Buckland ani Tuakau as follows: - For stations' Marion to New Plymouth on Mondijs, Wednesdays and Fridays; for stations Palmerston North ti Wellington on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; for stations Greatford to Napier on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; for stations on Wairatapa line on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; for alt stations in the Auckland and Ohakune railway districts on Mondays, Tucsaajs, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Potatoes from TuaKau and Buckland going southwards will in the ordinary course be lifted by the train leaving Pukekohe at 4.15 p.m., and should be loaded in good time, otherwise they will be delayed in transit. Consignments from Pukekohe going southwards will be lifted in the ordinary coursa by the 6.27 p.m. train. The arrangements are made with a view to the expedititue handbag ot the traffic, and consignors will not only facilitate the railway work but will further their own interests by co-operating with the Department contnngmenis on the proper days.
