MERCER.
To further the possibilities oi the Waikato river, in the vicinity of Mercer, as a trout fishing ground, a meeting was held at Mercer last week. Mr A. G. C. Ulas9, chairman of the tfiver Board, who has been interesting himself in the matter,' presided, and on his recommendation it waa resolved to extend an invitation to Messrs Burton and Rollet, of Auckland, to visit the locality.
